Can I stay on the free tier forever?

Yes. Standard is completely free, no account required, no usage limits, no hidden fees — ever.

When do I need credits?

Only when you choose a Premium voice (ElevenLabs, Gemini, etc.). Standard voices are always free. You can switch tiers on any conversion.

Will conversion stop if I close the browser?

When your account has any credit balance (above 0), you can submit a background job and close the browser — conversion continues on our servers. We'll email you when it's done, and the audio is available to download from My Jobs or your inbox for 7 days. Background conversion itself doesn't use extra credits.
