Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to your use of DocsToAudio, including documents and text you submit, voice samples you upload or record, cloned voices you create or use, previews and generated audio, and any sharing, publication, or distribution of outputs created through the service.

This AUP forms part of the DocsToAudio Terms of Service. You must also comply with applicable law and the policies of any third-party speech or voice-cloning provider used through DocsToAudio.

You must not use DocsToAudio to create, process, reproduce, distribute, promote, or facilitate any of the following:

2.1 Sexual or NSFW Content

• Pornographic, sexually explicit, sexually exploitative, or non-consensual intimate content.
• Sexual content involving coercion, abuse, exploitation, or a person whose consent has not been obtained.

2.2 Child Safety and CSAM

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualization of minors, or content that exploits, endangers, or facilitates harm to a child.
• Voice cloning involving the voice of anyone under 18. DocsToAudio voice cloning is available only to eligible adults and must not use a minor's voice sample.

2.3 Violence and Graphic Content

• Content that glorifies, encourages, instructs, or credibly threatens violence, terrorism, self-harm, or physical abuse.
• Graphic depictions or descriptions of gore, torture, severe injury, or cruelty created primarily to shock, intimidate, or celebrate harm.

2.4 Hate, Harassment, and Abuse

• Content that promotes hatred, dehumanization, discrimination, or violence against people based on protected characteristics.
• Targeted harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, doxxing, defamation, or abusive content intended to intimidate or harm another person.

2.5 Impersonation, Deception, and Deepfakes

• Unauthorized impersonation of any person, including private individuals, public figures, political candidates, or public officials.
• Fraudulent or deceptive deepfakes, fabricated endorsements, false evidence, identity theft, phishing, social engineering, or misrepresentation of synthetic audio as an authentic recording.
• Removal or concealment of an AI or synthetic-media disclosure where disclosure is required by law, a publishing platform, or the context of use.

2.6 Intellectual Property and Other Rights

• Content that infringes or misappropriates copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, biometric, personality, performance, contractual, or other rights.
• Conversion or distribution of material when you do not own it or lack the permission required for the intended use.

2.7 Fraud, Illegal Activity, and Safety Circumvention

• Fraud, counterfeiting, scams, unauthorized robocalling, spam, credential theft, evasion of verification, or other unlawful activity.
• Attempts to bypass safety controls, access restrictions, rate limits, provider rules, moderation, or enforcement measures.

You may clone only your own voice or a voice for which you have obtained the voice owner's prior, express, informed, and legally valid authorization. That authorization must cover uploading and processing the sample, creating and hosting a synthetic voice, and the intended generation, publication, and commercial use of its output.

Authorization to create a voice does not automatically grant copyright, performance, publicity, likeness, employment, endorsement, or commercial-use rights. You are responsible for obtaining every permission required for your intended use and for keeping appropriate evidence of authorization.

You must not use a cloned voice to deceive listeners about who is speaking or whether audio is synthetic, cause financial or reputational harm, exploit a vulnerable person, or evade identity and safety controls.

DocsToAudio reviews potential violations when they are identified through a user or rights-holder report, a service-provider safety notice, relevant technical or safety signals, or other evidence of suspected misuse. We do not undertake to proactively review every document, voice sample, cloned voice, or generated audio file.

Our review process generally includes the following stages:

1. Intake: we record the report or safety notice and the information available to identify the relevant content or account.
2. Triage: we classify the matter by urgency and potential harm, with child safety, credible threats, serious fraud, and imminent harm receiving priority.
3. Investigation: we review the submitted evidence, relevant account or content information available to us, applicable policy provisions, and provider notices. We may ask the reporter or account holder for additional information.
4. Decision: we determine whether the available evidence supports a violation and what action is proportionate to the risk and severity.
5. Enforcement and notification: we apply appropriate measures and, when reasonably possible and legally permitted, notify the reporter or affected account of the status or outcome.

Any user, rights holder, voice owner, or other affected person may report generated audio, cloned voices, voice samples, account activity, or other content created or processed through DocsToAudio that appears to violate this AUP.

• Generated content that falls within any prohibited category in Section 2, including sexual or NSFW content, child-unsafe content, graphic violence, hate, harassment, impersonation, deceptive deepfakes, or rights infringement.
• An unauthorized voice clone or synthetic audio that misuses your voice, identity, likeness, copyrighted work, or trademark.
• Use of DocsToAudio for fraud, scams, threats, stalking, abuse, or other illegal activity.
• Urgent child-safety concerns, suspected CSAM, credible threats of violence, or attempts to evade platform safety controls.

Required subject line: AUP Violation Report

This inbox is monitored by DocsToAudio support and is the official channel for reporting prohibited generated content, unauthorized voice cloning, rights violations, and other suspected violations of this AUP.

Include, where available:

• The relevant page, account, voice clone, generated content, conversion, or other identifying information.
• A clear description of the suspected violation and the AUP category involved.
• Links, screenshots, timestamps, or other evidence that can help us investigate.
• Your contact details and, for a rights-based report, information showing your relationship to the affected work, identity, likeness, trademark, or voice.

Do not download, attach, forward, or email suspected CSAM or other unlawful files. Provide only a link, identifier, or written description sufficient for us to locate and review the concern.

We prioritize reports according to their apparent severity. These targets begin when we receive enough information to identify and assess the reported matter:

Complex cases, incomplete reports, legal process, or reliance on a third-party provider may require more time. When reasonably possible, we will request missing information or provide a status update. These are operational targets, not guarantees of a particular outcome.

When we reasonably believe this AUP has been violated, we may reject or stop a generation request; restrict access to voice cloning or other features; remove uploaded samples, cloned voices, previews, or generated files under our control; suspend or terminate an account; preserve relevant records; and cooperate with service providers or lawful requests.

Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate action. Where required by law or necessary to address an imminent threat or child-safety concern, we may report relevant information to the appropriate provider or authority.

We protect a reporter's identity to the extent reasonably possible. Knowingly false, malicious, or abusive reports may be rejected and may themselves result in action under this AUP.

If DocsToAudio takes action against your account or content and you believe the decision was incorrect, email support@docstoaudio.online with the subject line AUP Appeal within 14 days of the notice.

Identify the affected account, content, or decision and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. A person not responsible for the original decision will review the appeal where reasonably practicable. We aim to respond within 10 business days, although complex matters may take longer.

We may update this AUP to address new features, risks, provider requirements, or legal obligations. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of DocsToAudio after an update means you agree to the revised policy.
